Aucune traduction disponible Girls and women in many parts of the world are often deprived of opportunities for education and advancement, especially in the realm of technology. The Global Fund for Children (GFC) launched an experimental program to address this issue by providing young women with training in video production. Four GFC grantee partner organizations serving adolescent girls took part—Mahita and Kolkata Sanved in India, and Kudirat Initiative for Democracy and Girl Child Concerns in Nigeria—along with regional technical partners Video Volunteers (India) and Communicating for Change (Nigeria). Participants learned to harness the power of media to amplify girls’ voices and share their stories with a wider audience, while toolkits detailing the process were developed to help guide other community-based organizations in the future. By sharing these toolkits with a broader collective of NGOs and grantmakers, GFC hopes others can benefit from the lessons learned.
